★I’m Salem (he/him), I’m a queer autistic tattoo artist working in the Chicago suburbs at South Elgin Tattoo Company in South Elgin. Tattooing has been my dream job since elementary school and I LOVE my job! I’m a member of the Alliance of Professional Tattooists and Together Tattoo Network and I work hard to make my space a welcoming and inclusive environment for people who haven’t always felt safe or welcome in tattoo shops. LGBTQ+, neurodivergent and disabled people, POC, and women specifically have often been made to feel othered in modern American tattooing (although the tides are changing now!) so I put a heavy emphasis on inclusivity and clear, friendly communication through the tattooing process from booking to healing. ★
☆There’s not many styles or subject matter that I don’t enjoy, but these styles specifically are a great fit for me
- Full color
- Anime/kawaii
- Color realism
- Horror/gore realism
- Custom brutal lettering
- Animals, insects, and florals
- Anything weird, silly, or strange!
check out my Wanna Do tab if you’d like to see more info on some of my favorite things to tattoo!
✧Large scale pieces such as half/full sleeves or back pieces and coverups require an in person consultation✧
